Expect The Best, Prepare For The Worst

Career Tip:

Be prepared for the worst...losing your job. Regardless if you are currently employed, update your resume regularly (at least every 6 months) and document your achievements so you can capture all that you’ve done in your job. Also, be sure to maintain the great network of contacts you built through mediums like LinkedIn. Sharing relevant articles and information, or just dropping them a note to say “hi.” When the time comes to move on, you won’t need to remind them who you are again. Losing your job can happen unexpectedly. Being prepared helps you quickly find the next great opportunity.
